Background

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg Regional Partnership Board has developed a Population Needs Assessment to guide what heath, social care and wellbeing services are needed in our communities.

Between June-November 2021, we gave people an opportunity to collaborate with song writers, artists, poets and story tellers to bring to life their experiences, feelings and ideas for the future.

At least 1,183 residents across Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil were engaged through a variety of different ways, including an engagement toolkits, group discussions, a roadshow, an online survey and a series of hack-a-thon events.

How did this lead to Hear Our Voices?

Our communities told us the many barriers and challenges they are facing on a daily basis, and also shared their ideas for change.

A number of songs and stories were written during the events. Watch the film here.

We wanted to widely profile these experiences.

We created ‘Hear Our Voices’ to bring together people with lived experiences, professionals and decision makers, so we can work together to drive positive changes.
