Here we explain how as a region we are supporting people to take the right steps to protect their families, friends and their community..

Protecting Cwm Taf Morgannwg

In 2020, the Welsh Government set out a strategy for recovery to lead Wales out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The strategy called ‘Test, Trace and Protect’ aims to enhance health surveillance in the community, undertake effective and extensive contact tracing, and support people to self-isolate.

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg Regional Partnership Board has been supporting our partners in the NHS, local authorities and the third sector to undertake this important work.

Self-isolation

We understand self-isolating can be difficult for people and their families. Some people may need help to get food or medicine. Some people may require financial assistance, and some may need ongoing care, or help in response to their mental health or physical support needs.

We are working with our partners including the health board, local authorities, the third sector, communities and volunteers to provide the practical support people (particularly high-risk groups), may need when self-isolating. We are also working together to identify what support may be needed in future as we emerge from the pandemic.

We will keep the links below updated with the latest advice and support information from Welsh Government and organisations across Bridgend, RCT and Merthyr Tydfil.
